At the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, a cultural studies student, wanting to leave his country under bombing and seemingly without a future, meets a retired mechanic with a terminal diagnosis and, hiding his real goal, asks him to help bring a car from Europe to the front for his brother who defending the country. Outside the country, he realizes that becoming a refugee is not his path, chooses home and a difficult sometimes thankless bureaucratic road of volunteering, becomes convinced that victory over the outnumbered and outgunned aggressor is impossible only by the Armed Forces, albeit with the support of the world; together with the same conscious people he meets, he contributes to the defense of his country through cohesion and courage - a special strength of the Ukrainian character.
